Tourism Ireland’s “City of Culture” campaign featured a year-long series of events that required an interactive calendar (and an absolutely gargantuan amount of triangular image cropping!). This was one that was designed inline with the print piece, though the main challenge was to find a solution for showing hundreds of events in a relatively small space, whilst also allowing for updates throughout the year as events were added or changed. The result was a left-to-right scrollable unit, which also allowed readers to click on a particular month in order to skip the calendar along to the beginning of that month.
